JANETH JOHN

BOARD CHAIR

Janeth John Kiko is a dynamic, independent mind, graceful and young energetic Tanzanian girl. She is a Founder& Executive Director at Binti Makini Foundation with a slogan a Local Tanzanian NGO which aiming to empower a girl child through education, and address key challenges which are limiting girl’s right in getting their basic needs. Her personal abilities are accompanied with quickly learning and adopting new environment which enabled her to become strong, energetic youth and a teacher by profession from acquired BA-Education from the University of Dar es salaam. Ms. Janeth pursued and won award from SADC protocol case on Sexual reproductive health and right (SRHR) as Runner upon Action and Youth Category, through the ongoing project conducted in Tanzania coastal villages of Tanga, Bagamoyo, Western, Pangani, Eastern Pangani, Kwezitu, Zirai, Antakae, and Mkaramo. Janeth is engaging more with influential decision-makers and thought leaders in Tanzania politics. She’s open to challenges, conversations, and an exchange of ideas from the top players in the political industry. She has over 4 years of experience in teaching, training and managed to transform hundreds of lives to young girls through giving education and knowledge sharing on gender-based issues, SRHR, capacity building and lifestyle changes. Janeth is currently serves as young women leader who represent youth category at Africa Young Women Leaders Network, Tanzania Chapter. She is also a champion and driver of change at Young Feminist Forum.

BEATRICE FELICIAN RUTAHIGWA

BOARD SECRETARY

Beatrice Felician Rutahigwa is a passionate social change maker, visionary leader, superhero woman and goal oriented having worked in community groups of youth, women, local organizations, CBOs and Charitable in a range of roles in advisory, event organizer, entrepreneurships trainer, leadership and management. Ms. Beatrice is also an entrepreneur, having transformative ideas for development and connecting youth, women and young women, children and adolescent girls in expanding their knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship opportunities and resource mobilization. Beatrice has over 12 years of experience working in community and development projects including engagements with government stakeholders as the program implementer and coordinator, vent organizer, entrepreneurship skilling projects, capacity building programs at local CBOs, local organizations and community hot spots and group platforms with proven knowledge and recognized experience as visionary leader and an entrepreneur. She is particularly effective in designing and influencing social behavior changing programs and leadership strategies, with additional expertise in hand craft and art designing, training and researching new opportunities as youth development practitioner in economic empowerment.

TUNUKIWA DAUDI

BOARD MEMBER

Mr. Tunukiwa is a passionate project management specialist with about a decade of experience in planning on project resources, leading teams, monitoring project progress, ensuring quality delivery and reporting, managing budgets, and managing changes and risks. He has proven skills in Project cycle management, Financial Management, Strategydevelopment and Execution, Effective Youth Engagement, Program design and fundraising, Training and Facilitation, Research and data analytics and People Management. Mr. Tunukiwa certified as Project Officer (2014-2016) and Project Manager (2016)at Faru Arts and Sports Development Organization (FASDO) in Dar Es Salaam-Tanzania, leading a crowd-funded project for inspiring young people (15 – 25 years) in developing their talents in science, drawing and handcraft and Innovation and designing an online arts and science competition. In 2019-2021 he served as Programs Manager at Raleigh International Tanzania, Morogoro Tanzania-Morogoro, Tanzania with team of 11 project managers and officers in delivering donor funded projects of more than 3 Million GBP annual budget, Supported the Monitoring Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team, Worked with our UKbased team in programs development and fundraising and Led on partnership development and management with stakeholders including the government, INGOs and donors also Led crisis management, safeguarding, and health and safety. Previously, he worked as Country Director (2021-Jan 2023) Raleigh International Tanzania-Morogoro, Tanzania in Developing and implementing the country strategic plan for accommodating the organization mission, Managed staff, financials and key performance indicators by facilitating organizational operations, Led on budget oversight and reporting for a variety of donors, including FCDO,NOREC, Myles Trust, Reckitt, OAK Foundation, JOA and Medicor Foundation, Supported remote teams in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Nepal to deliver on a multi-year climate and conservation exchange program, Supported the organization with strong working relationships with the government including cutting down the time spent on receiving project approvals from about 3 months to 1 week and he Enabled the organization to be on the lead of the INGO sector through becoming an INGO representative in the National Council of NGOs (NaCoNGO)
